With Resident Evil 7 expected to be announced soon, I can´t help but think about all the characters introduced during the games which have been "forgotten". Now I want you to propose what happened to them. I´ll begin so you can see an example.

- Barry Burton: With Umbrella down, and being the S.T.A.R.S member with more to lose (Unlike Chris and Jill he has daughters and a wife) he retires from active fighting and now is the BSAA´s head firearms trainer.

- Rebecca Chambers: Rebecca is a doctor, not a soldier, and saving lives is what she is best at. Right now she is one of the most prestigious BSAA´s field medics.

- Carlos Oliveira: Being a mercenary for almost all of his life he came back to his mercenary activities, however, this time he is specially interested in taking jobs that involve fighting B.O.Ws and refuses to work for employers who use them. Unofficially, he is also a BSAA consultant.

- Steve Burnside: Steve is still dead.

- Ark Thompson: Ark Thompson is still a detective, although he usually provides relevant informaton to the D.S.O.

Those are some names...I´m sure you can provide different points of view for the same or other characters. I´m counting on you!

I think Steve Burnside is still alive... but then you'll never know, RE is full of surprises. 0_o

I agree with you on that point RE is full of surprises I also believe that Steve Burnside maybe alive as well and Albert Wesker is also alive in my opinion. That is why I am excited about E3 this year to see what Capcom has in store for all of us with RE7.

The possible resurrection of Albert Wesker IS viable. It has been staring us in the face for years. I point you to a line in the Birkin Virus Memo, taken from the PU site.

“Even if death results, if only a tissue fragment remains the virus will reconstruct body tissue and revives.”

Now, Albert Wesker was a valuable commodity (at the very least as a B.O.W.). I don’t think it is far fetched that some nefarious type would have thought this way and acted accordingly to retrieve a tissue fragment.

If you are willing to accept things like Derek C. Simmons and his insane love for Ada Wong and turning Carla Radames into Ada Wong - via what? clone technology? Then why not believe in Albert Wesker’s resurrection? It’s not like this is something that would come out of left field as the virus memo has been around for awhile.

Hmmmm yes, but since he died inside a pool of magma maybe there was nothing left to reconstruct from...It IS viable and possible but I see Alex Wesker appearing in RE7 instead of Albert: same mood, mannerism,  attitude, moves, superpowers and not so different name...

I'll buy Alex Wesker too. It is one of the loose ends in the series that should be addressed.

Yeah I agree it would be awesome if Alex Wesker came out exactly like Albert a complete and utter badass and maybe even more psychopathic than Albert that would be sight right there I am excited to see what Capcom will be doing for RE 7 and hopefully if Alex Wesker does come out I hope they make him a badass just like his brother.

Xarls had originally posted this topic in the Residents Chronicles section, but I have moved it here as it still relates to & asks for Resident Evil theory. But I do see what Xarls is promoting with this topic and so why he would see our Residents Chronicles section as the best location; therefore may I suggest that if residents wish to speculate further with greater detail, developing their theory into a narrative (however short) then please post in our fan-fiction section.

Once again good topic Xarls... allow me to post my theories and views regarding the fate of Biohazard/Resident Evil characters:

Steve Burnside:

* Steve's body was recovered with a little bit of life still in it from the Umbrella South Pole Base, he remained in a persistent vegetable state.

*Hive/Host Capture Force only kept him alive via life support so they could cultivate and retrieve the t-Alexia Virus from his body.

*Alongside him was the still alive corpses of G-5 (William Birkin) & Alexia Ashford, kept on life support to cultivate G-Bacteria & t-Veronica Virus respectively.

*Claire Redfield, either as an independent mercenary or as an agent of B.S.A.A, finds these three bodies & tearfully shuts off their life support.

Albert Wesker:

*Albert Wesker really did die during the Kijuju incident, however several years earlier he had made one clone of himself.

*While the genuine Albert allied with Excella & descended into total madness, his one lone clone continued to manage The Third Organization.

*The Albert clone attempted to retain monopoly on Biological weapons, however his movements where detected and leaked to B.S.A.A.

*B.S.A.A. agent Jill Valentine used her authority as an Original Eleven to take command of B.S.A.A, she then killed the Albert clone feeling a little revenge.

I only posted my fan-fiction fates of frequently discussed characters as opposed to my favored characters, in addition, both my fan-fiction fates are actually part of one fan-fiction story that takes place at the same location & time: The Base of Rival Corporations right after the events of the Kijuju Incident, the protagonists are Claire Redfield & Jill Valentine, lastly these are mere summery samples of one of my large graphic novels I am currently making.

Other CHE residents views of my fan-fiction ideas are of course, welcomed & appreciated.

Thank you for finding my ideas interesting Albert Wesker 187.

When the time comes that I post any actual fan-fiction, it will definitely be found in the Residents Chronicles forum, my posts in this topic will be limited to ideas & theories I have regarding the fates of Biohazard/Resident Evil characters.

Admittedly, many of these ideas are from my fan-fiction.

Some more ideas of mine that I baked up:

- Lieutenant Billy Coen:

* Being an presumed-dead ex-convict, Billy had to leave the U.S, he decided to move to Africa to help rebuild the village his former marine unit destroyed.

* Besides settling with the locals, in order to make a living, Billy acts as a mercenary, frequently employed by B.S.A.A West Africa Branch.

- Ark Thompson:

* Seeing that Lott & Lilly Klein had lost their family during the Sheena Island incident, Ark adopts them & settles down in Europe.

* The fact that Ark is a living biohazard veteran, he became valued by B.S.A.A Europe Branch as an consultant/freelance mercenary.

Once again, these are only my ideas as to the fates of frequently discussed characters, I shall post ideas & theories regarding ideas & theories of my favorite characters later.

I'll make this quick. A return to survival horror please. No frills, no gimmicks. No son's of enemies past. No piles of ammo where once lay dead enemies. No returning characters JUST FOR EFFECT. Just good old fashioned survival horror. Isn't that why we are all here!???

@ James Marcus

I agree with you in that a character should probably not return just for effect as that sounds like a marketing move as opposed to decent storytelling.

With that said however, not all residents here at Crimson Head Elder & other websites are fans of Biohazard/Resident Evil for survivor horror game-play, some fans like the fascinating plot-line/storytelling while some fans happen to like the diverse cast of characters that the series has to offer.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now for some more ideas/theories of mine:

- Ms. Ling, Fong:

* After the events of the S.S. Spencer Rain sea-jacking, Ms. Fong begun a relationship with Bruce.

* Briefly staying in USA, she was an original member of D.S.O & was part of a two-person fire and maneuver team that also included Bruce.

* Then she returned to China to act as a lesion of D.S.O & for the Chinese government & B.S.A.A Far East Asia Division.

* In this capacity, she served well and was secretly valued & utilized by The Family Army's Far East Soldiers in particular, Carla Radames.

- Mr. McGivern, Bruce:

* After the events of the S.S. Spencer Rain sea-jacking, Mr. McGivern begun a relationship with Ms. Fong.

* Alongside Ms. Fong & Leon, Bruce was an original member of D.S.O.& was frequently sent on dangerous missions with Ms. Fong as his partner.,

* in spite of his talents & popularity, he was repeatedly passed over for promotion due to his recklessness.

* The real reason he was passed over was that The Family wanted to curb his influence in favour of their prized government lap-dog Leon.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Fong Ling & Bruce are two of my favorite protagonists & I would very much welcome their return to another game.

Barry: I personally would have him as the BSAA's weapon's specialist or even the new O'Brien. Maybe he can be like Hunnigan and play a background support role, so yes that means I think he should make a return in some capacity.

Billy: Off living in Northern Canada as a bartender in a small town bar under a different name. Yes, he's still hiding plus he's gotten used to being another person at this point. I don't think Billy necessarily needs to make a return. I would like to hear that he somehow got in touch with Rebecca again though and that they do keep in touch.

Carlos: Since Raccoon's Destruction, he's been living in to homeland of South America, acting as a mercenary for the greater good of the poor. However, after the disaster that was the events of RE6, Jill somehow finds a way to contact him and ask him to join a reformed BSAA. Realizing that there is much more he can do to help people in the world and because Jill's asked him personally, he accepts and comes back to North America in order to become a BSAA agent.

Nicholai: After escaping Raccoon City, he retired from Umbrella and secretly joined the Family as a simple informant. He has been collecting information regarding all the viruses and the major players involved in the black markets and have been trying to figure out a way to betray the members of the Family in order to become the Head himself. So yes, I think he should return because he has great villian potential.

HUNK: After Umbrella's Fall, he went into the shadows and was never heard from again.

Steve: Still Deceased.

Rebecca: Okay maybe I'm just playing the favoritism game, but I really believe she has the most story potential out of all the "forgotten" characters. After leaving Raccoon City, she decided to go to Medical School, eventually got her PhD, and became a virologist who's research focuses specifically on coming up with ways to prevent viral outbreaks by coming up with vaccines and other drug protocols. This work has organizations interesting in what she's doing and it actually led her to come in contact with Alex Wesker while in her 20s as he came to look for her personally. The reason he decided to look for her was not only due to the fact that wanted her help with perfecting the immunity virus he stole from Spencer, he also found out she is actually his biological daughter (this would explain why she is so intelligent and why she seemingly has some time of immunity or something because despite being covered in virus ridden leeches-which killed Umbrella workers covered in armor easily- and bitten twice/ scratched by infected monkeys, she was perfectly fine) a child he originally believed was dead, and wanted to get close to her. While this is kind of out there I admit, it could lead for some good story for both, bring Rebecca back into the fold in more than one meaningful way, so yes I think she should make a return in the future.

Well, what does everyone think?

Sheva: Continues to work with the BSAA in West Africa. After the events of RE5 along with Josh they were given promotions in their respective fields.

Jake: After RE6 he changed his ways of making a quick buck from mercenary missions and donned a super hero cape. He was shot soon after trying to stop a standard robbery and rests in peace.

Helena: She was outed by the press for her involvments in the outbreak on the Tall Oaks University Campus and upon receving several death threats from the victims familys went into a witness protection program and now lives in Alaska.

- Barry Burton: After the events of RE1 and after the threat of his family becoming involved Barry immediatley retired from S.T.A.R.S. and moved his family to Canada. He and his family live in a remote location and run a small farm.

- Rebecca Chambers: She never made it out of Raccoon City. Whereabouts and cause of her death are unknown.

- Carlos Oliveira: After the events of RE3 he joined the Anti Bio Terroism Unit that Chris and Jill were a part of before BSAA was formed. He was a part of the Umbrella's End mission in Russia and was KIA during the storm of the facility.

HUNK: After barley making it out of Raccoon City alive Hunk returned the sample of the virus to Spencer. Spencer being paranoid about the information of him attaining the virus leaking he ordered the assasination of Hunk. Hunk was esscorted to the roof of Spencers mansion to be assasinated not knowing his soon to be fate. He quickly caught on to the assasins plan to erradicate him and broke 1 of the guards necks and shot the other 2 with one of their guns. He hijacked the helicopter and dissappeared into the night.

Xarls was right the first time, I shouldn't have interferred and moved this Forum topic from his choice of Residents Chronicles; and  I'll learn a lesson from this, to leave the Forum moderating to our 2 very fine moderators Albert187 and USS Command ! The scope of the imagination of all the residents that have contributed here have made our fan-fiction section a better suited home.

Apologies for the belated reply SkinniMini, we've both been busy, you with your voice acting, and me with hunting voice actors down for the CHE Podcast ! I've got to recommend the wonderful fan fiction by site staff resident TheOracleDragon showcased here in our Residents Chronicles section, entitled Resident Evil: Shane's Story
