Well, I would like to make your minds work...if I don´t put mine to work it gets rusty so here´s my idea: I will periodically post a "What if..." situation so you can all post your theories and thoughts about how the RE universe would have changed. Here´s the first question: What if James Marcus/Queen Lech never "resurrected"?

In my oppinion the Arklay mountains incident wouldn´t have happened as it was the Queen Leech who caused it, meaning Bravo and Alpha wouldn´t have died there, also Billy would have been executed.

Nevertheless, Raccon CIty would have been infected the same night, as it was caused by the UBCS trying to steal the G-Virus from Birkin, considering this I think all the S.T.A.R.S except Wesker would have probably been killed when the police precinct fell, leaving only Leon, Claire and Sherry to save the world from Umbrella, Wesker and BOWs.

The BSAA would have existed anyway, but changing its founders, and I´m not sure there are other members other than Jill, Chris and Sheva capable of killing Wesker so...Uroboros would have probably suceeded in infecting the world.

What do you think? What would have happened in your opinion?

An interesting idea for a topic Xarls...

Here are my thoughts regarding your scenario:

* No Queen Leech would mean that the Train Derailment Incident would not have happened, curiosity, this means that the plan proposed by Albert & William to reclaim the Management Training Facility would have succeeded, giving Umbrella Corp. a decent Laboratory, not to mention save Albert & Williams carrier as James Marcus revival convinced them that Umbrella Crop. would collapse and their failed to reclaim the facility is what caused executive Sergie to sack Albert from Umbrella Corp.

* No Queen Leech would save the Arklay Research Institute from the infection, the lack of a "Mansion Incident" means that Albert Wesker would not get his $ once in a life time $ chance to betray Umbrella Corp. by stealing Tyrant & defect to Umbrella Rival Company, also since Sergie would not have sacked Albert from his job there would have been less precedence for Albert to defect from Umbrella Corp. anyway.

* No "Mansion Incident" would also likely save Dr. William Birkin as it is said that Umbrella Corp. held William accountable for the mansion incident was planing on sacking him, reclaiming the Umbrella Management Training Facility would properly help William's carrier with Umbrella Corp as well, perhaps giving him the executive position he wanted so badly.

* The "Raccoon Incident" happened mostly because William predicting that Umbrella Corp. holding him accountable for the mansion incident would sack him, these fears led him to abuse his position as leader of research facilities in Raccoon and cause a biohazard by via viral leakage, thus if William was in a better position within Umbrella Corp. he would not have intentionally caused a biohazard, greatly decreasing the amount of damage to Raccoon City.

* If Albert Wesker does not defect, then the Umbrella Rival Company will not be able to get BOW & secondary infected embryo samples from the Arklay Research Institute and that means no Hunter II's no Sweppers & no Wesker Subordinate Zombies, taking all this into consideration I have doubts that they would be bold enough to attack Rockfort Island, this would save Alfred Ashford & his carrier within Umbrella Corp as well as Alexia Ashford herself.

* If Albert Wesker does not defect, then the Umbrella Rival Company would not have him to help them combat Umbrella Corp., consequently this means that Albert would not launch an attack on the Umbrella Russian subsidiary's Caucus Research Institute herby saving the laboratory, BOW assembly line, Project TALOS, A.I. Red Queen, super computer UMF-O13, database Umbrella Archives as well as the life of executive Sergie, furthermore without the Raccoon City t-Virus research contained within UMF-013 & Umbrella Archives, the Umbrella Rival Company would not be able to appear in court with Albert as a witness, this would spare Umbrella Corp. from losing the lawsuits against them and as a result would allow the complete revival of Umbrella Corp.

* Albert Wesker was officially Ozwell E. Spencer's Right Hand Man, if Albert didn't betray Ozwell, then Ozwell would not have been forced to relay on Alex Wesker thus Alex would not have been giving a chance to betray Ozwell and if Alex didn't betray Ozwell then Ozwell would not have told Albert about Project W. and since it was the revelation of this information that undid Project W.'s programing in Albert Wesker's head, Albert would have never gone mad, preventing him from killing Ozwell and launching the insane Uroboros plan.

So in an nutshell, Umbrella Corp. lives on, Albert Wesker remains Ozwell E. Spencer's Right-Hand Man, perhaps even succeeding the frail old man as Chairman of Umbrella Corporation, all in all this sounds a lot like the Resident Evil Film Franchise, but with much better story telling and #hopefully# less zombie dogs.

So those are my thoughts sorry if my post was extremely long it is just that I happened to like this topic and wanted to explore it to the fullest.

Pretty much agree but I´m not sure Wesker would have stopped his betrayal because of that, I think he would have found the way to betray Umbrella, after all his ambition knew no limits.

~ Yuan-The-11th's theory revised ~

I have done more studies and have decided to add to the discussion regarding the consequence of no Mansion Incident.

* Xarls is correct in stating that Albert wouldn't allow a lack of mansion incident to stop his ambition as two things have come to my attention via Wesker's Report & resident evil archives:

The first is that Albert had 2 plans to surpass Oswell's Umbrella:

1: steal t-Virus research at Arklay Research Institute.

2: steal G-Virus research from Underground Research Institute.

The second is that Albert's life was saved by William during the mansion incident & Albert believed he owed William one, as a result Albert changed his plan from stealing G-Viruses to saving William & escorting him to Umbrella Rival Company.

*If no mansion incident happened than Albert's first plan would fail causing him to start plan 2, in addition no mansion incident would prevent William from saving Albert, this means that Albert would not belief that he owes William any favors so he would not hesitate to betray William to advance his carrier.

* Something els that came to my attention is that U.S. military authorities led by none other then Derek C. Simmons where interested in Dr. William Birkin and wanted to secure him & his G-Virus, this couped with Williams childish & egomaniac nature means that William may still be convinced to leave Umbrella Corp.

* I also recall that the Umbrella Rival Company had advanced tech & independent virus research so even without Albert they would likely still attack Rock fort Island, now this is a radical theory but without Albert to muck up negations with Alexia Ashford maybe they could get her to join them? after all Alexia only really cares about virus research and as Umbrella Corp. didn't give her much resources in order to limit her influence, I could see her joining Umbrella Rival Company in return for unlimited test subjects & funding.

* If Albert remained Oswell's right-hand man he would have gained Oswell's trust this coupled with William Birkins death/departure from Umbrella then would only leave the high-rank supervisor Sergie Vladimir as a rival for inheriting Oswells position writhing Umbrella, if Albert could discreetly kill Sergie, then Albert could take advantage of Oswell's trust in him and be able to arrange for the old man to have an "accident".

*It is unknown if Derek C. Simmons/"The Family" got along well with the Umbrella Rival Company/"The Organization" but in light of Umbrella Corporation being revived with Albert Wesker as chairman, I could see "The Family" creating a fire-forged friendship with "The Organization", Carla Radames & Alexia Ashford, two women who are similar in many ways might even work together on the C-Virus together, the existence of Alexia would likely result in the C-Virus being completed sooner.

*Giving the unstable nature of Alexia & Carla, there is a good possibilities of them taking over "The Organization" and "The Family" respectively, than conflict between the two organizations against Albert Wesker of Umbrella Corporation and perhaps even amongst themselves would be inevitable resulting in an global pandemic & biological world war the likes of witch as never been seen.

Regarding the viral outbreak sweeping Raccoon City & The Arklay mountains area, and the initial appearence of James Marcus & the havoc he caused by infecting the Ecliptic Express with his leeches - I think there were various t-virus leaks across that geographical area, and not just the James Marcus causing outbreak. Unless I am mistaken, sloppy management of the Waste Disposal area of Birkin's underground labaratory was one leak that occurred after the leech incident, the rats that ingested the virus from broken vials in Raccoon City's sewers after Hunk's team's botched confrontation with Birkin G monster was another, and there was a seperate t-virus leak in the underground lab below the Spencer mansion, again caused by Umbrella scientists appalling safety at work record!

The virus leak sourced from the incompetently run waste disposal facility was enough to cause the Raccoon City incident without the added intervention of those rats, who merely contributed to an already ongoing outbreak. Also IMO it was the leech causing outbreak of RE0 that was soley responsible for the mansion incident.

My theories if the Queen Leech never existed in a Star-Trek style aternate universe.

*The Mansion Incident would not have occured. The Reclamation Project would have been successful and Umbrella would re-open it. Sergei would not be needed to extract T-ALOS and would not lock Wesker out of the Umbrella mainframe. Ada Wong would have been successful in her mission to get a t-Virus sample for the Rival Company who begin their bio-weapons program in earnest.

*Wesker would still defect to the Rival Company but this would have been at a later date (Immediately after Raccoon City incident would be logical.) Wesker had always planned to ultimately leave Umbrella since 1988 after seeing how Spencer killed Marcus. He wanted to leave because he didn't want to suffer the same fate.

*Birkin would finish the G-Virus and instead of negotiating with the U.S. Government, he would secretly plan to leave for the Rival Company alongside Wesker. Umbrella take exception to this and send in Hunk's team. He is killed and the t-Virus leaked.

*Raccoon City incident occurs. - Major difference is that the STARS teams are still operational. Because Chris is not missing, Claire Redfield never comes to Raccoon City, meaning Elza Walker is reinstated in her place!

*Nemesis T-Type has much more fun and the STARS teams are practically wiped out during the incident, but not before Enrico finds out their is a traitor on the team.

*Wesker fakes his death and Chris, Jill, Barry and Rebecca escape via helicopter as the town is nuked. - Although even this event may not occur as in this timeline the US Government and Umbrella are still very much in bed together. The city could still stand and be clensed by other means.

*Leon, Sherry and Elza Walker escape.

*Following the incident, Wesker joins the Rival Company.

Wow...thanks everyone for your scenarios. I liked that TheBatman included Elza Walker and the S.T.A.R.S dying in Raccoon City instead of in the mansion was a great idea.

Coming soon...Vol 3!

Batman you should be a writer for the series. That little bit of story you just came up with had me more entertained than all of RE6.
